LAHORE: The formation of cabinets in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab came to an end on Wednesday (today), when the provincial governments were getting ready to accredit their respective cabinets. The cabinets of the governments of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were finalized after the general election on February 8.

Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rahman will preside over the oath-taking ceremony for the Punjab Cabinet, which is scheduled to begin at 4 PM today at the Governor’s House. Punjabi Chief Minister and Vice President of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Maryam Nawaz, unveiled her cabinet.

Fifteen ministers in Punjab will be sworn in during the first phase, with special attention to important ministries. At Adiala Jail, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa conversed with Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), about the political landscape of the area.

Mushtaq Ghani is one of the names that have been approved for several ministerial positions in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government. Gandapur promised to give top priority to programs that promote development, security, and peace throughout the province.
