Karachi is experiencing a dramatic surge in temperature as people fast during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The Met Office predicts that the temperature will rise even higher during the next 24 hours. The weather will remain dry in most parts of the country.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the temperature in Karachi is likely to increase from today and the mercury may reach 35 degrees Celsius.

As of Sunday, the temperature is forecast to hit 34 degrees Celsius, with the lowest recorded temperature in the previous 24 hours being 18.5°C.

On the other hand, there is a possibility that the heat intensity will increase in the plains of Sindh including Karachi and the weather will remain hot and dry in most places of Sindh including Karachi.

The unexpected change in weather is due to low humidity levels, which are currently below 40%. March is often warmer in the southeast.

Karachi weather during Ramadan

Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz predicted that the temperature during the first 10 days of Ramadan will be in line with the normal average temperature for March.
