Youm-e-Shuhada-e-Police commemorated in Dera Ismail Khan
Youm-e-Shuhada-e-Police was commemorated in Dera Ismail Khan, here on Friday.
In this regard, A ceremony was held at Ejaz Shaheed Police Line on Friday, 5th of August, the ceremony was originally planned to be held on 4th August but due to the visit of PM Shehbaz Sharif, the program was postponed.
Police Contingent presented a guard of honor to the martyrs at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada.
Khan, SP Nisar Marwat, other police officers, family members of police martyrs, media representatives, social and religious personalities participated in large numbers.
Commissioner D I Khan Division Amir Afaq said the martyrs are the brave sons of the nation who sacrificed their lives for the better future of our children.
District Police Officer Captain (Retd) Najam-ul-Hasnain Liaquat said, I salute all those martyrs who have sacrificed their lives to make our future peaceful. These martyrs have given their lives for the survival and prosperity of the country and nation.
Regional Police Officer Shaukat Abbas and District Police Officer Captain (Retd) Najam-ul-Hasnain Liaquat laid floral wreaths on the Yadgar-e-Shuhada and prayers were offered for the high ranks of the Martyrs.
It should be remembered that D I Khan is also called the land of Shuhada-e-Police, Since 1982, there have been more than 140 terrorist attacks on police personnel and officers in which many Police Personnel and High Rank Officers embraced martyrdom.
Regional Police Officer Shaukat Abbas, Commissioner Dera Aamir Afaq, Brigadier Rashid Khan, District Police Officer Captain (Retd) Najam-ul-Hasnain Liaquat, Deputy Commissioner D I Khan Nasrullah Khan, CO Shoaib Khan, Additional SP Muhammad Javed Khan, SP Investigation Shabir were present in the ceremony.
