LAHORE: More Monsoon rains and gusty winds are forecast at intervals over parts of Lahore and Punjab on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), strong monsoon winds from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal enter the upper/central parts of Pakistan. A fresh westerly trough will affect most of the upper/central parts of the country from tonight.
In these weather conditions, there will be more rains and strong winds in Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Attock, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujarat, Gujranwala, Narowal, Sialkot, Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, Faisalabad, Jhang.
Intermittent rain in Toba Tek Singh, Mianwali, Sargodha and Khushab on Friday and next two days. Heavy rains may also occur at some places during this time. Bhakkar, Leh, Taunsa, Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Pakpattan, Bahawalnagar and Bahawalpur are also likely to experience rain and gusty winds at few places.
The maximum temperature of Lahore is expected to be 34 to 36 degrees Celsius on Saturday and 33 to 35 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
Meanwhile, during the last 24 hours, Lahore and upper/central Punjab received wind/thundershowers. The weather remained hot and humid in other parts of the province.

Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan and Multan were the hottest places in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 41 degrees Celsius.
The maximum temperature recorded in Lahore was 35 degrees Celsius. In the evening, relative humidity was recorded at 62%.
