ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police has arrested the well-known activist of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sanam Javed, here on Sunday.
Earlier today, Sanam Javed was released from jail after an Islamabad court dismissed the case filed against her by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
PTI lawyers rushed Sanam and her family after the release orders.
After the court’s decision to release him, Islamabad police detained him in another case.
Ashfaq said that we handed over Sanam Javed to the police without any resistance. Law abiding people should behave as we did.
Yesterday, the Sessions Court ordered the authorities to immediately release Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Sanam Javed from jail.
Magistrate Malik Imran, while pronouncing the decision regarding the remand of Sanam Javed, accepted the plea of her lawyer to be acquitted from the case.
PTI activist Sanam Javed was arrested by the FIA team from Gujranwala and charged under cyber crime laws.
The allegations stemmed from a tweet on May 9, where he allegedly encouraged people to visit the Corps Commander’s House.
