Islamabad: Azad Kashmir Election Commission issues arrest warrant for PTI’s nominated CM candidate Ali Amin Gandapur. The arrest warrant has been issued for Ali Amin Gandhi, the PTI’s chief ministerial candidate, on the charge of violation of the electoral code of conduct in the recent election in the state.

According to reports, the order was issued on the basis of a complaint lodged against him by a person named Raja Zulkarnain, highlighting the gravity of electoral violations in the country.

The Lahore Police are also working to arrest the winning candidates of the general election in the state of Punjab who are wanted for their involvement in the violent incidents on 9 May 2023.

Some of the names that have been put on the list of those to be arrested include prominent personalities such as Iqbal Mian, Ali Amin Gandapur, Imtiaz sheikh, and others who have been named by the court as proclaimed offenders.

According to JIT authorities, a detailed plan has been put in place to locate and apprehend the accused fugitives, who won seats in the 2024 general elections. Law enforcement agencies are vigorously pursuing leads to locate the suspects, using advanced tactics such as geofencing, smartphone tracking, and IP address tracing.

The court has officially recognized Mian Aslam Iqbal, Imtiaz Sheikh, and Ali Amin Gandapur as proclaimed offenders, stepping up efforts to hold them accountable for their suspected involvement in the May 9 occurrences. The JIT authorities emphasize that the upcoming arrests of these persons would be carried out in accordance with the law, ensuring due process is followed.

The JIT also showed that the accused communicated often with their followers and campaign staff throughout the election and during the results announcement.
