Kamran Jeelani is a seasoned Pakistani television actor who has appeared in numerous dramas, but his claim to fame was the hit PTV drama serial Mehndi, in which he was cast opposite Fiza Ali. The actor comes from a strong acting background, as his late father, Qurban Jilani, and his brother, Adnan Jilani, are also popular actors. Kamran’s other notable dramas include Maryam, Bandhay Ek Dour Se, Roshni, Sada Sukhi Raho, Daasi, Dil Ishq, Uraan, Anabia, Tujh Pe Qurban, Khalish, Fitoor, and Mann Mast Malang. Currently, fans are praising him in Case No. 9.

Recently, Kamran Jeelani appeared on Fuchsia Magazine’s YouTube show, hosted by Rabia Mughni. In the show, he opened up about Case No. 9 and the issue of junior actors disrespecting seniors.

Talking about Case No. 9, Kamran Jeelani said, “So far, so good! Case No. 9 turned out to be a great project — hats off to the whole team. Wajahat has done an outstanding job, and all the performances were remarkable. Shahzeb Khanzada has written an excellent script — it’s the first time we’ve seen such a bold story on screen. I mean, we’re tired of the same repetitive scripts; we need to focus on the content. If we work on strong content, it will be successful because we already shoot it well, and our actors perform their best. Channels that have changed their storytelling approach a d screens have seen a remarkable success”. Here is the link to the video:
Talking about getting Case No. 9 and his short role, Kamran Jeelani said, “I was contacted by 7th Sky because I have good terms with them. They told me they had this mega script, and when I heard it was being directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain and written by Shahzeb Khanzada — along with the impressive star cast they mentioned — I had to do it. I was already hearing great things about the project. They narrated the story to me and said there were two characters — a good cop and a bad cop — and they were considering me for the positive role. They also explained that the character is important and appears on and off throughout the series. Besides me, there are several other actors playing important roles. The story mainly belongs to Saba and Faysal, but Aamina Sheikh, Junaid Khan, Madiha Rizvi, and Naveen Waqar are all performing significant roles. In fact, Ali Rehman Khan has a very short appearance in it. The cast is definitely adding to the drama, so I said yes to it. Sometimes you take on projects just to keep things running, but I knew Case No. 9 was different and would be a big project. I don’t think anyone has criticized it yet — we need more scripts like this.” Here is the link to the video:
Talking about juniors disrespecting seniors, Kamran Jeelani said, “We still learn from our seniors and respect is there, we are friendly with them as well but never crossed that thin line with seniors which make us disrespect but I find this lacking in our juniors. We used to stand in front of our seniors until they left the set. If they become hit actors, are super successful, and are getting dramas but not respecting their seniors, it won’t make them truly big — it’s not something to be proud of. Success like a mix chaat plate , you are a good human being and successful, — that’s what truly makes you shine and you become a complete package. That’s what helps you flourish. You have to stay humble.” Here is the link to the video:
