{"id":444,"date":"2026-06-29T10:20:30","date_gmt":"2026-06-29T10:20:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aitadal.com.pk\/eng\/?p=444"},"modified":"2026-06-29T10:20:30","modified_gmt":"2026-06-29T10:20:30","slug":"pcb-raises-match-fees-for-pakistan-cricketers-in-major-financial-overhaul","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aitadal.com.pk\/eng\/pcb-raises-match-fees-for-pakistan-cricketers-in-major-financial-overhaul\/","title":{"rendered":"PCB Raises Match Fees for Pakistan Cricketers in Major Financial Overhaul"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>LAHORE:<\/strong> The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has approved a significant increase in match fees for national cricketers as part of a wider financial and structural reform package for the 2026-27 season.<\/p>\n<p>The decision was taken during a meeting of the <strong>PCB Board of Governors<\/strong>, chaired by PCB Chairman <strong>Mohsin Naqvi<\/strong>, where members unanimously approved the board&#8217;s surplus budget along with several measures aimed at strengthening Pakistan cricket.<\/p>\n<p>Under the revised payment structure, players representing Pakistan in <strong>Test matches<\/strong> will now receive <strong>Rs1.5 million per match<\/strong>, while <strong>ODI players<\/strong> will earn up to <strong>Rs750,000<\/strong>, depending on their contract category. Match fees for <strong>T20 Internationals<\/strong> have also been increased, with top-category players set to receive <strong>Rs650,000<\/strong> per game.<\/p>\n<p>The PCB has also announced a major boost for domestic cricket. Match fees for players participating in the <strong>Quaid-e-Azam Trophy<\/strong> have more than tripled, increasing from <strong>Rs30,000 to Rs100,000<\/strong> per match. Reserve players will now receive <strong>Rs50,000<\/strong>, replacing the previous payment of Rs15,000.<\/p>\n<p>In another key development, the board approved greater administrative and financial independence for the <strong>Pakistan Super League (PSL)<\/strong> and cleared the budget for the tournament&#8217;s upcoming 12th edition.<\/p>\n<p>The domestic cricket budget has also been increased from <strong>Rs3 billion to Rs4 billion<\/strong>, while <strong>Rs6.7 billion<\/strong> has been allocated for stadium upgrades, infrastructure projects and improvements to cricket facilities across the country.<\/p>\n<p>The PCB also approved funding for women&#8217;s domestic ODI and T20 competitions, plans to make <strong>12 additional cricket grounds<\/strong> operational, and the installation of a modern biomechanics system at the High Performance Centre in Lahore.<\/p>\n<p>Officials say the new financial package is designed to strengthen Pakistan&#8217;s cricket structure, improve player welfare and support the long-term development of the game at both domestic and international levels.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has approved a significant increase in match fees for national cricketers as part of a wider financial and structural reform package for the 2026-27 season.
