Under the programme, the government plans to distribute <strong>100,000 electric bikes<\/strong> to eligible students over the next year.<\/p>\n<p>According to officials, students will be able to obtain an electric bike by paying a <strong>monthly installment of Rs2,100<\/strong> under an interest-free financing plan designed to make transportation more affordable.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/aitadal.com.pk\/eng\/punjab-to-launch-phase-two-of-laptop-scheme-as-30000-devices-arrive\/\">Punjab to Launch Phase Two of Laptop Scheme as 30,000 Devices Arrive<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants will be required to make a <strong>down payment of Rs14,000<\/strong>. The Punjab government has, however, stated that the down payment and registration fees of female students will be paid by the chief minister, which would be a further effort to promote women&#8217;s education and mobility.<\/p>\n<div>The provincial government will also cover Rs70,000 subsidy for every electric bike, which will make the cost to the students considerably less.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Officials said the scheme will not be limited to students alone.
