Fakhar Zaman led the chase with 127 runs off 99 balls, including 11 fours and six sixes, recording his 12th ODI century. He was supported by Saad Baig, who scored 74, and Arafat Minhas, who made 61. Arafat was named player of the series after taking nine wickets and scoring 149 runs across the tournament.<\/p>\n
The celebrations were followed by a disciplinary development announced on Monday, 2 November 2026, and reported by Dawn on 3 November. The International Cricket Council (ICC) fined Pakistan’s players five percent of their match fees for a slow over-rate in the final. Pakistan were found to be one over short after time allowances were taken into account.<\/p>\n
The sanction was imposed by Jeff Crowe of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, under Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct, which covers minimum over-rate offences. Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi pleaded guilty and accepted the sanction, so no formal hearing was needed.<\/p>\n
