MDCAT 2026 registration is started from 22nd June, PMDC has announced the exam date.MDCAT 2026 registration has begun from 22nd June with PMDC declared Exam Date.
Thousands of medical and dental students who are looking to start the next chapter of their academic journey can now begin preparing for MDCAT 2026, as the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has announced the exam date.
The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) will take place on August 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the specified test centers throughout the country. Students who wish to get admission in MBBS and BDS courses in public and private medical institutions have to continue taking the test.
The online registration process will begin on 22nd June 2026 and candidates will be able to fill out their applications on the official registration portal. Registration will close on July 8th, 2026, with no late fees.
Those candidates who miss regular date will also be given a chance to apply through a late registration facility till July 13, 2026. Late registration fees will be charged for late registrations, however.
PMDC has urged applicants to register as early as possible in order to prevent any technical problem and delay on the closing dates.
The candidates will be presented with 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) for the MDCAT 2026 exam which will be conducted in a three-hour period. There WILL NOT BE any “negative marking” so students can answer ALL the questions without fearing they will lose marks for incorrect answers.
The exam will consist of a section on Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English and Logical Reasoning. Biology will be the most important section of the test and will be the highest weightage.
Candidates seeking admission to medical colleges must secure at least 55 percent marks and in the case of dental colleges, 50 percent marks in order to be considered for admission.
This is because the MDCAT is one of the most competitive entrance exams in Pakistan, with thousands of students taking it every year for a limited number of seats in medical and dental schools. Candidates have now entered the final phase of preparation stage, as less than two months are left for the test.
PMDC emphasizes students to concentrate on studying, adhere to the official PMDC instructions, and fulfill the registration process before the deadlines to prevent any inconvenience.
