
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Police have acted decisively against 15 personnel, dismissing them from service due to negligence in performing their duties and misuse of their authority.
The departmental inquiry was conducted under the supervision of a Superintendent of Police. Upon completion of the departmental inquiry, it was determined that the police personnel had exhibited different levels of incompetence and failed to complete their duties as law enforcement officers.
Abusing their authority, the 15 personnel failed to service the public, while negative and positive actions against criminal adversaries were performed and failed to be performed, respectively.
The dismissed officers include Sub-Inspector Qasim Zia, Sub-Inspector Talat Mehmood, Assistant Sub-Inspector Zaheer Ahmed, Head Constables Almas Haider, Muhammad Ishaq, Waqas Idrees, Naveed Butter, and Sajid Mehmood.
He added that Constables Muhammad Nadeem, Muhammad Imran, Nazim Abbas, Zahid Khan, Ahsan Farooq, Imran Ahmed, and Qazi Azhar have also been removed from service following the inquiry.
The actions of the police department demonstrate their dedication to protecting these public service principles and preventing the misuse of power.
Police departments should be clear to personnel that those who chose not to emphasize principles of public service should receive department punishments, while good performances should warrant system rewards.
