Islamabad: Ahead of the anticipated 23rd March parade and full rehearsal day, the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has introduced a traffic management plan to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and public safety.

As per an ITP representative, there will be restrictions on heavy traffic entry into Islamabad on several dates, including March 17, 19, 21, and 23, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 AM. These measures aim to facilitate the movement of parade-related preparations and activities.

Alternative routes have been designated for traffic coming from Lahore. Vehicles will be directed to travel from Rawalpindi Sadar Road towards Peshawar GT Road and the Motorway, as specified by the traffic spokesperson.

Additionally, traffic originating from Koral Chowk and Rawalpindi will be diverted to enter Islamabad via Khanna Bridge, Lehtrar Road, and Park Road, providing alternative entry points to the city.

To accommodate smaller vehicles, the Motorway Police has announced the option for traffic to divert from Kashmir Chowk towards Barakahu and Murree, offering additional routes for smoother traffic flow.
