MAKKAH: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Sunday at the Iftar dinner hosted by MBS in Makkah. PM Shehbaz and the delegation were received by the Saudi crown prince.

After Iftar, a bilateral meeting was also held followed by a one-on-one meeting between the Prime Minister and Crown Prince. PM Shehbaz and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman appreciated the upward trajectory of longstanding fraternal relations and have reaffirmed their common resolve to further strengthen bilateral ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The Prime Minister conveyed prayers and best wishes for the health and well-being of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz. He expressed gratitude for the warm welcome accorded to him and his delegation by the Saudi authorities.

Prime Minister Bah­rain Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa also attended the special iftar dinner.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif along with his cabinet members left for Makkah where the premier will have the privilege of performing Umrah, the PM Office media wing said.

Pakistan delegation included Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Mini­ster Khawaja Mohammad Asif, Information Minister Ataullah Tarar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
