NEW DELHI: Most of cities in India and Bangladesh to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr tomorrow, which marks the end of holy month of Ramadan (April 11, 2024) as Muslims in India complete 30th roza of Ramadan today.

Some Indian cities reported moon sighting on April 9, which means that Eid ul-Fitr was celebrated in those areas today (April 10).

Earlier, the Shawwal moon was not sighted in some parts of India and Bangladesh on April 9. Delhi, Lucknow along with other cities will celebrate Eid tomorrow.

Imam of Jama Masjid Delhi and Markazi Chand Committee Eidgah, Lucknow announced that Muslims in Asian nations will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on April 11 (Thursday), as the moon was not sighted on Tuesday.

However, Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Kerala with most of other Muslim countries celebrated eid today as Shawwal moon was sighted yesterday. Crescent was sighted in India’s Ladakh, as per the official statement of the Jammiat-ul-Ulama Isna Ashria Kargil, Ladakh.

Moreover, Bangladesh’s National Moon Sighting Committee which met at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque today also announced to celebrate Eid festival on Thursday.
