ISLAMABAD: The weather forecast in Islamabad on April 10, 2023 (today) is partly cloudy, with relaxing temperature after some hot days. As Pakistanis celebrate Eidul Fitr, Met Office has predicted a variety of weather patterns across the country including federal capital.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted little chance of rainfall in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Wednesday.

PMD informed that a westerly wave is likely to enter upper parts of the country from April 10 followed by another strong westerly wave on April 12 that may grip most parts of the country on April 13 and persist till April 15.

According to the synoptic situation, rain and wind/thunderstorm is expected in hilly areas of Punjab, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan on night of April 10 and then April 12 to 15.

Under these conditions, partly cloudy weather and rains with wind/thunderstorms are expected in the twin cities, Potohar region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Under the influence of this weather system rain-wind/thunderstorm is expected in Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal on 10th and then 12th (evening/night) to 15th April, with occasional gaps while Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Khushab, Sargodha, Mianwali, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Bhakkar, Layyah, Multan, Pakpattan, Sahiwal, Kot Addu, Muzaffargarh, Rahim Yar Khan, Sadiqabad, Khanpur, Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar with occasional gaps from 12th (evening/night) to 15th April. Isolated windstorm/hailstorm is also expected from 13th to 15th April.
