KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Culture and Tourism Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah has taken notice of the news that has surfaced on social media that unauthorized parking fees are being collected from the vehicles of visitors to Mohan Jo Daro, a world-renowned archaeological site in the province.

The culture minister has asked Sindh Director of Archeology and Antiquities Abdul Fateh Shaikh to investigate the reports fully and submit the results to him.

He asked the authorities concerned to form an inquiry committee and complete the investigation into the matter within three days.

He also directed the authorities concerned to take action against those involved in the collection of unauthorized parking fees.

Shah said the provincial government would not tolerate such unfair treatment of people visiting the archaeological site for recreational, educational, and research purposes.

The Minister of Culture expressed the determination of the Sindh government to provide maximum entertainment facilities to the people of the province. He said that no exception will be taken with those involved in looting the public.
