ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan government has granted consular access to New Delhi for meeting two Indian spies imprisoned in Pakistan, diplomatic sources said.
According to media reports, the consular access was provided at the request of the Indian government. A three-member delegation from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad met with the two prisoners at Adial Jail.
The Indian delegation included HC’s first secretary Venkatesh Varlo Sidhara and two staffers – Dharowabar Gujjar and Peetam Singh Kiran. During the meeting, Interior Ministry officers were also present, said the diplomatic sources.

The diplomatic sources said Pakistan on Monday decided to grant access to India to meet two youth spies 29-year-old Feroze Ahmad Lone and 24-year-old Noor Muhammad Wani from Indian Occupied Kashmir.
These two Indian nationals were arrested from Gilgit Baltistan on charges of spying for New Delhi. Both belonged to the Gorez area of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir’s Bandihurah town.
According to the Indian media, both youths had been missing from Occupied Kashmir since November 2018, said the sources, adding that they had crossed the border illegally and got arrested on spying charges.
