KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced the provision of interest-free loans to students of the Agricultural University Tando Jam.
As per the details, the provincial government announced a plan to provide interest-free loans to students studying at the Agricultural University, Tando Jam. This initiative aims to empower young individuals pursuing agricultural studies by easing their financial burdens and encouraging entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector.
The University’s Department of Agriculture will be responsible for developing and implementing procedures to ensure that loans are efficiently distributed among students.
Sindh Agriculture Minister Sardar Bakhsh Mehr said that the purpose of these loans is to empower young agricultural students by reducing their financial burden, enabling them to start their own agricultural business after graduation.
Minister Mehr further emphasized the importance of addressing climate change in agriculture, highlighting its significant impact on the sector.

He stressed the need for educated and innovative people in agriculture to tackle these challenges and promote sustainable practices.
Moreover, Minister Mehr mentioned the Sindh government’s “Hari Card” plan in the coming days. The project is part of a broader effort to support the agricultural community by providing various benefits and resources to farmers across the region.
