PESHAWAR: Rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday and Friday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly will likely enter the upper parts of the country on Thursday.
Under these weather conditions, rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected at isolated places in Dir, Swat, Malakand, Bajaur, Kohistan, Chitral, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Charsadda, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Bannu, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram and Waziristan on Thursday and Friday.
Peshawar’s maximum temperatures will likely stay between 40-42°C on Thursday and 39-41°C on Friday.
Meanwhile, hot and dry prevailed in Peshawar and most districts of the province during the last 24 hours. Bannu remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 46°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 20 percent.
