ISLAMABAD: The Federal Ministry of Education has launched a major educational initiative by partnering with Google for Education to establish Centers of Excellence in two federal educational institutions, with the formal inauguration of the first center at Islamabad College for Girls.
As per the reports, an important agreement has been reached between the Federal Ministry of Education and Google for Education, which is an important moment to advance the quality of education. Under this agreement, Islamabad College for Girls has officially become the inaugural institution to open a Center of Excellence in Education.
Google for Education has equipped the center with the latest hi-tech classrooms and IT labs, ensuring an optimal learning environment. The Managing Director of Google for Education reiterated his commitment to further educational initiatives across Pakistan and the wider region.
During the ceremony, Federal Education Minister Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui appreciated the efforts of the Education Secretary and said, “This success is like a dream come true. Education Secretary Wani Sahib has tirelessly promoted the cause of schools and colleges.”
College Director Saba Faisal highlighted the transformational impact of the newly established center in federal educational institutions, stressing that students will now be equipped to compete in the global market after completing courses here.
“Technology and education represent the future of Pakistan,” emphasized Federal Secretary for Education, Mohiuddin Wani, as the Google team began its efforts by setting up two reference schools in Islamabad.
