
LAHORE: Punjab University has announced the closure of its student hostels for Eid-ul-Fitr and spring vacations. According to an official notification, all boys and girls’ hostels will remain closed from March 28 to April 7.
Students residing in the hostels have been directed to vacate their rooms by March 28. This decision was taken based on the recommendations of the university’s Vice Chancellor and the Chairman of the Hall Council.
Earlier, the Punjab government had announced a 3-day holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr, which was scheduled from March 31 to April 2 (Monday to Wednesday).
According to the official notification, there will be a public holiday throughout the province during this period. However, the final date for celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr will depend on the sighting of the moon.
