KARACHI: Gold prices continued to rise in Pakistan’s local market on Wednesday amid rising global prices.
According to data shared by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs8,600 to Rs348,000.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams increased by Rs7,373 and the new price was settled at Rs298,353.
A day earlier, the price of 24-karat gold per tola saw an increase of Rs800, taking the price to Rs339,400 per tola.
Despite the continued upward momentum of gold, silver prices remained unchanged, indicating stability amidst the volatility in the precious metals market.
The latest increase in gold prices comes amid growing investor interest and global economic uncertainty, with analysts believing that this trend could continue if the current conditions persist. Local traders also attribute the rising prices to currency exchange rate fluctuations and geopolitical tensions that affect global commodities.
Consumers and jewelers alike are keeping a close eye, as rising prices have begun to affect demand in the domestic market.
