
KARACHI: In the tenth match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, Islamabad United defeated Karachi Kings by 6 wickets, here on Sunday.
The match between Karachi Kings and Islamabad United was played at the National Stadium in Karachi. The captain of Islamabad United won the toss and decided to field.
Batting first, Karachi Kings scored 128 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated overs. And Islamabad United set a target of 129 runs to win.
Tim Seifert stood out for the Kings by playing an innings of 30 runs. While Abbas Afridi scored 24, Saad Baig 20 and Khushdil Shah 17 runs among the other players.
5 batsmen of Kings could not even enter double figures.
Naseem Shah, Jason Holder and captain Shadab Khan dismissed 2 players each for Islamabad United.
Islamabad United’s first wicket fell for 34 runs when Sahibzada Farhan was dismissed for 30 runs with the help of a six and 5 fours. While the Karachi Kings bowlers were able to take the second wicket soon. Colin Munro returned to the pavilion with a total score of 38 after scoring just 4 runs. He was bowled by Hassan Ali.
United’s third wicket fell for a total score of 103. Azam Khan was dismissed for 31 runs with the help of a six and 3 fours. He was bowled by Muhammad Nabi.
Shadab Khan was dismissed for 47 runs off 40 balls with the help of 2 sixes and 5 fours. When United needed only one run to win.
Earlier, while talking at the toss, Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan said that there are cracks on the pitch due to which they are bowling first. And they will play according to the plan made against Karachi.
He said that two changes have been made to the Islamabad United team and Muhammad Nawaz and Darushis have been made part of the squad.
