
KARACHI: Karachi Kings defeated Peshawar Zalmi by two wickets in a thrilling last-over match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 at the National Stadium on Monday.
Earlier, in the 11th match of PSL 10, Peshawar Zalmi set a target of 148 runs for the Kings. Batting first for Karachi Kings, Babar Azam and Saim Ayub opened the innings.
Saim fell victim to Mir Hamza after scoring just four runs, bringing Tom Kohler-Cadmore to the crease to support his captain.
His innings was also short as he was dismissed after scoring just seven runs, the scoreboard showed 36/2 in 6.5 overs.
After this, Muhammad Haris came to the crease and put on a 31-run partnership with Babar Azam to take Peshawar Zalmi to 67 runs in 10 overs.
Babar was dismissed after scoring 46 runs off 41 balls. Hussain Talat scored 18 while Mitchell Owen fell to Khushdil Shah after scoring just five runs.
Al-Zari Joseph remained unbeaten on 24 runs off 13 balls as Peshawar posted 147 for 8 in their 20 overs.
For Karachi Kings, Abbas Afridi and Khushdil Shah took three wickets each while Mir Hamza and Aamir Jamal took one wicket each.
Both sides have decided to field the same side for the PSL 10 match from their previous clashes.

Kings are third on the points table, with two wins in their last four matches, while Zalmi are fifth, having won one of their last three matches.
In their previous match against Islamabad United, Karachi Kings suffered a six-wicket defeat after setting a target of 129 runs for the defending champions.
Islamabad United are at the top of the points table of the ongoing PSL 10, with four victories in the maximum number of games.
