
Quetta: The Balochistan Education Endowment Fund (BEEF) has officially announced its “Out of Province Scholarships Scheme” for the academic year 2024-25, offering financial assistance to students from Balochistan pursuing higher education in institutions outside the province.
Under the previous scholarship policy (2023-24), scholarships worth Rs. 154.4 million were awarded to 1,838 students studying across various universities and professional institutions in Pakistan. The new policy aims to continue this support for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Eligible Degree Programs and Sessions:
The scholarships are open to students enrolled in:
- BS/Professional Degree Programs (4 & 5 years) – from Spring/Fall 2020 to Spring/Fall 2024 sessions
- Master’s Degree Programs (2 years) – Part I and Part II students (Spring/Fall 2023–24)
- MS/MPhil Programs (2 years) – Coursework and Research Work students (Spring/Fall 2023–24)
Applicants must meet specific results and CGPA requirements based on their year of study.
Eligibility Criteria:
- To qualify, applicants must:
Be domiciled in Balochistan and enrolled in the public sector or BEEF-approved private panel institutions outside the province. - Have secured at least 60% marks or a 3.0 CGPA and be listed in the official merit list sent by the institution to BEEF.
- Not be availing of any other scholarships.
- Apply through their institution’s Focal Person or Financial Aid Office (FAO)—direct applications to BEEF will not be accepted.
- Special quota candidates (orphans, minorities, disabled, and transgender students) must apply individually with complete documentation.
Required Documents:
Applicants must attach the following with their Scholarship Application Form (SAF):
- Academic transcripts and results
- Domicile certificate copy
- CNIC/Form-B copy of student and parent/guardian
- Two recent passport-size photos
Important Note:
Students enrolled in 2-year BS programs, bridging, or lateral entry programs are not eligible for any category under this scholarship scheme.
How to Apply:
Interested students should contact their institution’s FAO or designated officer for guidance. Institutions will collect and forward applications to BEEF; students must not submit forms directly to BEEF.
