NEW DELHI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reportedly requested the International Cricket Council (ICC) not to include Pakistan and India in the same group at any future ICC events, according to media reports.
The BCCI has made the decision following the Pahalgam terrorist attack in Indian illegally occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK), which resulted in 26 casualties.
However, A senior BCCI officials told a cricketing website that we have not made any such request to the ICC as there is no significant ICC event coming in near future.
Moreover, BCCI vice president Rajiv Shukla said that the board will follow the directive given by the Indian government.
Earlier, the BCCI had banned the live streaming of HBL PSL 10 in India. The streaming platform FanCode was the official partner for the Broadcasting of HBL PSL 10 in India.
The platform has removed all the related videos of HBL PSL 10 and the highlights of the previous matches as a result of the suspension of live streaming of matches.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has yet to issue an official statement regarding this development but the decision has already been criticized by cricketing fans across the world.
