ISLAMABAD: Gold prices have increased again today in both international and local markets.
According to reports, the price of gold in the international bullion market increased by $21 per ounce, breaking the record and reaching $3310 per ounce. This increase in global prices has also had a direct impact on local markets.
In Pakistan, the price of gold per tola (11.66 grams) saw an increase of 2,100 Pakistani rupees, reaching a new high of 349,200 PKR. Furthermore, the price of gold per 10 grams increased by 1,800 PKR, taking the price to 299,382 PKR.
The increase in gold prices is due to a combination of global economic factors and investor demand, which has further increased concerns for local consumers and gold traders. The upward trend in gold prices shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon, leaving many wondering how this will affect purchasing power and savings in the coming weeks.
