
NEW DELHI: A tragic incident took place in the city of Mangaluru in Karnataka where a young man was brutally murdered by a mob of Hindu extremists for shouting “Pakistan Zindabad” during a cricket match.
According to Indian media reports, the incident took place near the Bhatra Kolvarthi temple where a cricket match was going on. During the match, the victim, whose identity has not been revealed yet, got into an argument with another man named Sachin. The argument escalated, prompting the victim to call for help.
The enraged mob attacked the young man with sticks, rods and other weapons. As a result of the brutal attack, the victim died on the spot. The police reached the spot and took possession of the body and arrested 15 people on charges of murder. However, three accused managed to escape from the spot.
The post-mortem report confirmed that the cause of death was internal injuries and excessive bleeding. The police have not yet revealed the name of the murdered young man.
