Earthquake tremors were felt in Gahkoch city of Ghizer district of Gilgit-Baltistan and its surroundings on Feb 17, Saturday.

According to the Seismological Center, the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 4.5 on the Richter scale and the depth was 102 km. No major damage or casualties have been reported so far.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the epicenter of the earthquake was located along the border regions of Afghanistan and Tajikistan.

An earthquake of magnitude 4.9 shakes Mingora, Swat, and the neighboring districts on Friday.

According to the Seismological Center, the depth of the earthquake was 142 kilometers below the surface and had a Richter scale value of 4.9.

Locals fled their homes and places of business in fear after the tremors felt in Mingora, Swat, and adjoining areas. The epicenter of the earthquake was found at Swat, some 142 kilometers below the surface.
