
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has recorded a 30 percent monthly increase in tax collections in April 2025, which is higher than the annual target of Rs9,300 billion set for the previous fiscal year (FY).
According to a circular issued by the FBR, the tax collection has increased despite the payment of Rs43 billion in refunds.
Giving details, the bureau said that income tax collection has recorded a 44 percent increase. Sales tax collection has increased by 17 percent and Federal Excise Duty collection by 31 percent.
