
NEW DELHI: After the recent Pahalgam attack in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the Muslim students in Kashmir have reported cases of harassment, the student association reported.
According to the details, the unknown gunmen killed 26 people at a famous tourist destination in Kashmir, Pahalgam, all Indians except one man who was a resident of Nepal.
The murders have infuriated Hindu nationalist groups, sending shockwaves in one of the world’s most populated countries. The Indians are demanding justice, and authorities have launched an extensive operation to apprehend the culprits.
According to Nasir Khuehami, convenor of the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association, Kashmiri students in states such as Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh were instructed to vacate their university residences or rented homes on Wednesday.
Khuehami claimed that after hostel doors were shattered, students at a university in Himachal Pradesh were physically assaulted and subjected to harassment.
He went on to say that the students were referred to as “terrorists.”He further stated, “This is not just a security issue.” “Students from a certain region and identity are the targets of a purposeful and focused campaign of hate and vilification.”
About 20 students in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, escaped to the airport on Wednesday after being warned by the fringe right-wing Hindu Raksha Dal.
