ISLAMABAD: On Wednesday, Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif received a visit from General Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS).
On Wednesday, General Munir paid Shehbaz a visit at the Prime Minister’s Mansion and congratulated him on taking up the role. The topics of security and the armed forces were also discussed by the two.

The gathering takes place the day after the Corps Commanders Conference, which reaffirmed that the military fulfilled its role by providing security for the election on February 8 and had no involvement in the voting process.
