Italy Expands Visa Services in Pakistan, Check Details

Islamabad: Augusto Palmeiri, the First Secretary at the Embassy of Italy, has announced the commencement of visa services in Lahore, Pakistan. During a meeting with traders at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Palmeiri revealed plans to expand visa services to other major cities in Pakistan in the near future.

Palmeiri emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between Italy and Pakistan, particularly in terms of both diplomatic relations and business opportunities. He highlighted the potential for significant growth in bilateral trade, setting an ambitious target of $5 billion.

LCCI President Kashif Anwar, along with Senior Vice President Zafar Mahmood Chaudhry and executive member Chaudhry Khadim, attended the meeting. Anwar expressed the chamber’s interest in renewing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the Embassy of Italy in 2018.

Anwar also underscored Italy’s economic significance for Pakistan, noting its position as one of the largest economies in the European Union, boasting a GDP exceeding 2 trillion dollars.
