Fire passport office in Karachi's Sadar

A fire broke out in the old offices of the Passport Office in Sadar, Karachi on Sunday, destroying a vehicle and old records.

According to the police, the fire broke out in the warehouse of the passport office where old documents, vehicles, and other items were kept.

Chief station fire officer Abrar Sheikh told the media that five fire tenders and one snorkel were used to extinguish the fire. Blaze burnt the entire record and old files of the passport office into ashes.

Abrar Sheikh said rescue officials were informed at 5 am early about the fire incident in Saddar’s old passport office. The reason behind the cause of the fire is not confirmed yet.

He said that old equipment was kept in the affected offices and luckily there was no loss of life in the incident.
