Lahore: In a bid to ease financial strain during Ramadan, Punjab government along with the Poultry Association announced a reduction in chicken prices. Open markets in Punjab will see a drop of Rs 10 per kilogram, while Model Bazaars will enjoy a steeper discount of Rs 25 per kilogram, effective immediately.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif conducted an impromptu visit to Johar Town’s Model Bazaar after her official engagements. She meticulously assessed prices of fruits, vegetables, and groceries, engaging with shoppers to understand their concerns. Expressing empathy for citizens, especially the elderly, facing challenges during Ramadan, CM Nawaz vowed to address their needs. Her visit drew a large crowd, demonstrating public support, with Chief Secretary Zahid Zaman Akhtar also present to underscore the government’s commitment to citizen welfare.
