The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has extended the enforcement of property taxes to all localities within the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), including Bahria Town and the Defence Housing Authority (DHA).

Previously, the authority exclusively collected property taxes from the owners of commercial and residential structures located in specific sectors. To increase revenue collection, the government has now declared a flat tax rate for the first time.

In the most recent development, the CDA levied a property tax on residences in DHA, Bahria Enclave, and Bahria Town.

After property tax, the CDA will receive Rs 27,000 from a five-marla house and Rs 298,000 from a six-kanal house.

A yearly tax of Rs 24,000 would be levied by CDA on residences on a 140-yard plot in Sector E-11, model towns, and the PHA Kurri Housing program. Houses built on 4,000-yard plots would be subject to a 200,000- rupee levy.

In Park Enclave, a building measuring 140 yards would cost the authority Rs25,000, while a house built on land extending 2000 yards would cost Rs227,000.

The lowest and maximum amounts of property taxes that apply to houses in Gulberg are Rs 20,000 and Rs 170,000, respectively. The taxes for the various sectors are as follows:

Sector Minimum Property Tax Maximum Property Tax
D Rs27,000 Rs246,000
F Rs35,000 Rs1,200,000
G Rs28,000 Rs249,000
I Rs25,000 Rs271,000
