LAHORE: Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz has launched a housing scheme project aimed at providing affordable housing to low-income citizens in Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Sargodha, and Rawalpindi.

Immediate site selection has been directed by the Chief Minister to expedite the process.

Emphasizing the importance of thorough consideration in site selection, Maryam Nawaz stressed that every aspect should be taken into account to ensure that the housing projects fulfill the residential needs of the citizens. A review session was conducted under her leadership to discuss the project, which aims to construct one hundred thousand houses for low-income individuals.

Maryam Nawaz highlighted the significance of housing schemes being located within cities where land is available, ensuring easy access to amenities for residents. The Board of Revenue has identified 17 sites for scrutiny in this regard.

Various senior provincial ministers, advisors, and officials participated in the briefing, indicating the government’s commitment to addressing the housing needs of low-income citizens in Punjab.
