A private news channel reported that Pakistanis are anticipated to celebrate Eidul Fitr with six holidays, citing sources from the Meteorological Department.

The news broadcaster also mentioned that Eidul Fitr is probably on April 10. It is important to note that the Lunar calendar was developed in 2019 by Fawad Chaudhary, the former federal minister of Science and Technology, in an effort to address issues related to moon sightings.

The schedule that Chaudhary introduced indicates that Muslims would observe 29 fasts this year nationwide. This implies that on April 10, Pakistan will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr.

Eid holidays usually start one day ahead of schedule to accommodate preparations and celebrations.

In addition to the regular weekend holidays on Saturday and Sunday recognized by the government and some private offices, there would be a total of six holidays if the government declared a four-day holiday from April 9 (Tuesday) to April 12 (Friday).

Following discussions with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) and other pertinent departments, a final decision regarding the holiday schedule will be made.

On the other hand, the Eid-ul-Fitr vacations are set to take place from April 10 to April 12, based on the Cabinet Division’s list of holidays that was released a few weeks ago. Pakistanis will receive five holidays if this plan is followed.
