DUBAI: After the heavy rainfall and flooded water in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the garage owners and mechanics have been overwhelmed with vehicles in need of repair, with estimates suggesting that repairs could amount to as much as Dh40,000 for some motorists, whose insurance claims have been rejected.
As per the market sources, due to the heavy rain on April 16, several cars were stranded on roads in the UAE, with the vehicles facing significant repair bills due to damage. With thousands of vehicles in need of extensive repairs, concerns arise as many may struggle to obtain insurance coverage for vehicles damaged by floodwaters.

While automobile experts highlighted that they could estimate the cost of repairs only after a thorough assessment and test. The repair estimate may also depend on the make of the vehicle, the component wear, the replacement of spare parts, and the number of days it takes to repair.
