ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly hall is all set to welcome the newly elected members for their inaugural session on Thursday. The seating arrangements have been finalized based on their party affiliations and alliances.
Notable personalities, including former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, will occupy seats on the government benches alongside his brother and Leader of the House, Shahbaz Sharif. The government benches will also feature former defense minister Khawaja Asif, former president Asif Ali Zardari, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and other senior leaders of the ruling coalition, such as Raja Pervez Ashraf, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Aleem Khan, and Tariq Bashir Cheema.
Meanwhile, on the opposition benches, PTI-nominated prime minister candidate Omar Ayub will assume the position of the opposition leader. Key figures from opposition parties, including Asad Qaiser, Ali Muhammad Khan, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Sardar Akhtar Mengal, and Mahmood Khan Achakzai, have also been allocated seats.

The inaugural session presents an opportunity for the new members to take their oaths, elect the speaker and deputy speaker of the National Assembly, and address the current issues and challenges facing the nation.
