Islamabad: Senator Irfan Siddiqui, a known ally of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, has made bold claims regarding the return of Senator Ishaq Dar to the federal cabinet.

According to Siddiqui, Dar, who is expected to retire from the Senate in March 2024, will soon be re-elected and appointed as the Federal Minister of Finance and Revenue.

While discussing the potential contenders for other key positions in the new government, Senator Siddiqui dismissed the likelihood of Dar becoming the Senate chairman. Instead, he expressed confidence in Dar assuming a significant role in the federal cabinet, specifically tipping him for the position of finance minister.
