ISLAMABAD: ASP Syeda Shehrbano Naqvi and her family will receive a royal visit from Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, in remembrance of her valiant efforts to save a woman in Lahore’s Achhra Market from a violent crowd.
When they met in the Saudi embassy, where the ambassador hosted the courageous police officer, the diplomat informed ASP Syeda Shehrbano of this.

According to the source, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki praised the police officer’s bravery and assured her that the Saudi government will cover the cost of her family’s royal visit to Saudi Arabia. He praised the ASP for her professional and selfless defusing of a potentially explosive scenario.
The Gulberg ASP paid a visit to General Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), at General Headquarters one day prior. General Munir recognized the important role Pakistani women were playing in society at large.

“Pakistani women have made a name for themselves both domestically and internationally since independence, thanks to their talent, perseverance, and dedication,” he was cited as saying. Syeda Sheharbano Naqvi has been nominated by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Usman Anwar for the Quaid-i-Azam Police Medal (QPM).
