Matric & Inter Exam Dates Announced; Here’s all you need to know

Karachi: The Sindh School Education and Literacy Department have disclosed the schedule for matric and intermediate exams for the year 2024.

According to the announcement, the exams for both matriculation and intermediate levels will take place during the final week of May 2024. Results for matric exams will be declared on July 31, while the results for intermediate exams are expected to be announced in the second week of August 2024.

Furthermore, the new academic year, 2024-25, is set to commence from August 1, 2024, instead of the previously scheduled date of April 1, 2024. Summer vacations for the academic session 2024-25 will span from June 1, 2024, to July 31, 2024, while winter vacations will be observed from December 21, 2024, to December 31, 2024.

Recent reports also revealed that the Sindh government has approved the outsourcing of matric and intermediate boards due to complaints regarding irregularities in board examinations and results.

In light of this decision, the Department of Boards and Universities has directed all matric and intermediate education boards in the province to prioritize the outsourcing of examination components through an open competitive bidding process, in accordance with the SPPRA Rules, 2010.
