Islamabad: Newly-elected Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has introduced a Ramadan relief package worth Rs22.5 billion. This announcement was made during a meeting chaired by the chief minister to discuss price control measures for Ramadan.
As the holy month approaches in Pakistan and around the world next week, the relief package aims to assist the population during this period.
Under this initiative, 66 percent of the Sindh population will receive a cash amount of Rs5,000. The funds will be allocated to low-income families to alleviate financial burdens.

To qualify for the Ramadan fund, individuals earning Rs34,000 or less will be eligible. Each deserving family will receive Rs5,000 directly deposited into their bank accounts, similar to the process of the BISP cash programme.
