Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has allocated portfolios to federal ministers and a notification has been issued in this regard.
Khawaja Asif has been appointed as the Minister of Defence, with additional responsibility for Defence Production and Aviation. Senator Ishaq Dar has been appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Asad Umar will oversee Planning, while Rana Tanveer will serve as the Minister for Industries and Production. Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar has been appointed as the Minister for Law, with an additional charge of Human Rights.
Chaudhry Salik Hussain has been appointed as the Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, while Abdul Aleem Khan has been given the portfolio of Minister for Narcotics Control, with an additional charge of the Capital Investment Board.
Khalid Maqbool Siddique has been assigned the Ministry of Science and Technology, Jam Kamal Khan will serve as the Minister for Commerce, and Ameer Maqam has been appointed as the Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON), with an additional charge of National Heritage and Culture.
According to the notification, Sardar Owais Ahmed Leghari has been appointed as the Minister for Railways, and Ataullah Tarar has been assigned the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Moreover, Muhammad Aurangzeb will perform the duties of the Federal Minister for Finance, while Mohsin Pirzada will serve as the Minister for Housing. Lastly, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh has been appointed as the Minister for Maritime Affairs, and Riaz Pirzada will oversee the Establishment Division.
This move comes as the government aims to streamline its operations and effectively address various challenges facing the country.
