Islamabad: On the Islamabad-Peshawar motorway, an incident of robbery took place outside a mosque last Friday. A complaint was lodged by Bashir Munir, hailing from Islamabad, who informed the police that he had gone to pray in a mosque near the Hakeem Plaza on the Islamabad-Peshawar motorway (M-1), where his shoes worth 300,000 rupees were stolen from outside the mosque.
Munir informed the police that he had identified the suspected thief with the help of CCTV cameras, who was portrayed as the owner of a luxury car. He further stated that by tracing the car’s license plate, they managed to locate the driver, whom they contacted to return the shoes. However, the driver refused to comply.
The Taxila police have registered a case against the suspect and initiated further investigation.
Two Gang Members Arrested
Taxila police uncovered the gang involved in the robbery and arrested two of its members. According to the police spokesperson, a raid was conducted at the gang’s hideout, resulting in the arrest of Noor Ahmad and the prime suspect, Hamza alias Commando.

The police also recovered stolen property, including five motorbikes and various weapons used in criminal activities. The spokesperson mentioned that both members of the gang have confessed to multiple robberies and thefts in the area.
