Weather Alert: Rain in Lahore and Islamabad, snowfall in some areas of Pakistan


Islamabad/ Lahore: After a sudden arrival of fog the previous night, several districts of Lahore received much-needed rainfall on Wednesday about three in the morning. Avicenna Medical College, Barki Road, Green City, Paragon City, Canal Road, Formanites, State Life Housing, Bankers Town, Defence Housing Authority, Askari 10, Askari 11, Bedian Road, Avicenna Medical College, and other well-known areas of Lahore were among the places where the precipitation was reported.

Interestingly, there was a sudden and heavy fog outbreak the night before, which made visibility quite poor. This weather event caused traffic disruptions and the shutdown of several roadways.

It is expected that the precipitation will alleviate the haze by improving the air quality index in the “most polluted city.” It is also anticipated that the rain would reduce fog, improving visibility following the rainfall.

Due to the snowfall, everything in Malika Kohsar was covered with snow. After the rain in the upper regions, the weather turned cold again.
