Islamabad: Eid ul-Fitr 2024 is expected to be celebrated on April 11 in Pakistan, as per a forecast by the MET office. This occasion holds immense significance for Muslims, symbolizing spiritual reflection, cultural unity, and gratitude. On Eid ul-Fitr, Muslims gather for special prayers called Salat-Al-Eid, conducted in mosques, open spaces, or large communal areas.
This year, Ramadan in Pakistan is expected to comprise 30 days of fasting, with the Shawwal month likely to commence on April 10. Experts suggest that Eid ul-Fitr will align with April 11 in Pakistan.

Meanwhile, in the United Arab Emirates, Eid ul-Fitr is expected to commence on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Ibrahim Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Emirates Astronomy Society, has indicated that the Shawwal moon sighting is projected for April 9, indicating a 30-day Ramadan duration for the region.
