DUBAI: The UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has announced a significant increase in the monthly financial allowance for mosque personnel, including Imams and Muezzins serving at mosques under the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments.

The directive entails providing a monthly allowance equivalent to 50 percent of the basic salary for these individuals.

Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments has emphasized that this allowance, closely overseen and supported by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-President and Chairman of the Presidential Court, will be smoothly incorporated into the monthly salary structure.

Al Darei expressed deep gratitude to Sheikh Mohamed and Sheikh Mansour for their unwavering support towards mosque personnel, highlighting their dedication to fulfilling the mission of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments in meeting its religious and societal responsibilities.
